Haas future in F1 secure says Steiner
Haas future in F1 secure says Steiner Gunther Steiner, Emilio Romagna GP 2021 © Haas F1 Team / LAT Gunther Steiner has played down suggestions that the Haas project may be coming to an end in Formula 1. It is said that the small American team only started the 2021 season - its sixth in Formula 1 - because of Dmitry Mazepin s sponsorship injection and extra support by Ferrari. Haas is treading water in 2021 by focusing exclusively on developing an all-new car for next year, but boss Steiner denied that the team might not make it to 2022 at all. I think I can say the team is secure, he told the Australian GP podcast.

F1 back to 2014 performance next year says Verstappen
F1 back to 2014 performance next year says Verstappen Max Verstappen, Bahrain GP 2021 © Red Bull Formula 1 cars will return to the grip levels of 2014 or 2015 next year, according to Max Verstappen. This year, with F1 performance at near record levels, the Dutchman appears to be in a head-to-head battle with Mercedes Lewis Hamilton for the title. I believe Mercedes could be a little stronger than Red Bull in Portugal, former driver Ralf Schumacher told Sky Deutschland. However, now that Hamilton has to take more risks just to hang on to Verstappen, more mistakes are possible, he added. Another former F1 driver, Mark Webber, told Marca sports newspaper that he is enjoying the spectacle.

Schumacher advantage over Mazepin not unfair says Steiner
Schumacher advantage over Mazepin not unfair says Steiner Mick Schumacher, Bahrain GP 2021 © Haas F1 Team / LAT Gunther Steiner has denied that Mick Schumacher has a huge advantage over fellow Haas rookie Nikita Mazepin in 2021. While 22-year-old Mazepin s debut season on and off the track has been tumultuous so far, the similarly-aged Schumacher has had a comparatively smoother time. I am positively surprised by the team - it s fantastic, Michael Schumacher s son told La Gazzetta dello Sport. We are already in synch even if we haven t known each other for a long time. I feel at home. The team has a good structure and there is a good atmosphere and this is certainly positive, Schumacher added.

Hulkenberg plays down chances of replacing Vettel
Hulkenberg plays down chances of replacing Vettel Nico Hulkenberg, Eifel GP 2020 © BWT Racing Point Formula One Team Nico Hulkenberg has played down rumours he might be called up to replace Sebastian Vettel at Aston Martin. Quadruple world champion Vettel is still struggling for form after being ousted by Ferrari, amid rumours he might not even see out the full 2021 season. Waiting in the wings is super sub Hulkenberg, who after standing in for unwell Racing Point regulars Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll last year is now the Aston Martin reserve. But when asked if he thinks stepping into Vettel s cockpit before the end of the season is a realistic expectation, the German said: No, I don t think so.

Latest Formula 1 Breaking News - Grandprix com
Grandprix.com Fernando Alonso, Bahrain GP 2021 © Alpine By Luis Vasconcelos Formula One s approval of trying a different weekend format in three Grand Prix later this year was more than expected, given Ross Brawn s insistence new formats had to be tried before the new technical regulations will come into effect next year, but it s still a massive disappointment for the hardcore Formula One fans that have been following the sport with religious fervor for decades. Of course Brawn, Domenicali and those that pushed for these changes, will downplay the disappointment of the fans, putting it down to emotional attachment to what they know and complete refusal to accept something new, but a careful analysis of the rules that have been accepted for three Sprint races this year just reinforces the idea this plan can only backfire - unless the weather decides to give the Formula One masterminds a helping hand.
